The Hallyeosudo Marine Park consists of a stretch of water 93 nautical miles long, running from Hansando Island, south of Busan, to Yeosu in the west. The Marine Park is dotted with 400 islands and islets, many uninhabited. The irregular coastline has created unusual rock formations and caves, providing a spectacular cruising course. Apart from the natural scenery, much of the interest in the area is historical, for it was here that Korea's famed Admiral, Yi Sun-Shin, defeated the Japanese in several sea battles during the Japanese invasions of the late 16th |
